2019 Yangtze River Cultural Tourism Expo: Attracting Visitors - Jingzhou Cultural Tourism Industry Embracing A Bright Future

From 6th to 8th December, 2019 Yangtze River Cultural Tourism Expo was held at the Wuhan International Expo Center in Hubei Province. Jingzhou made a stunning appearance in combination with scenic spot promotion, folk custom performances and intangible heritage displays, which promoted its cultural tourism image, showcased the integration of culture and tourism, and opened up a new path for the development of Jingzhou’s cultural tourism industry.

In the past few days, the exhibition area of Jingzhou was hustle and bustle. Many visitors came to have a look at an Emperor Riding Carriage with Six Horses, which was made from one unearthed from King Chu's Mausoleum in Jingzhou, Hubei Province. It is a ritual carriage with the highest level in the Western Zhou Dynasty. To experience the profound history, visitors boarded the carriage and took photos with it.

At the exhibition area, 10 scenic spots including Jingzhou Ancient City, Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage, Jingzhou Garden Expo Park were introduced. At the same time, Hospitality Chu Music, Worship and other performances with Hubei characteristics attracted a multitude of visitors. During the event, both the main stage and the promotion activities were teemed with people.

Jingzhou, with a long history and rich tourism resources, is a favored tourism destination integrating culture, ecology and natural scenery. Strolling in the exhibition area of Jingzhou, visitors may experience the ancient city with profound history, catch a glimpse of Oriental Heritage featuring technology and appreciate the ecology of Hong Lake. All of these Jingzhou features made visitors feast for their eyes and forget to leave.

 “The Ancient Capital of Chu, Jingzhou of the Three Kingdoms”, “Having Fan in Fangtawild Oriental Heritage”, “Terra-Cotta Warriors in the North, King Chu's Mausoleum in the South”, “Colorful Hong Lake, Homeland of Heroes”, “Weishui, the South Paradise of Chu”…..This Expo served as the best stage for Jingzhou to display its graceful landscape, well-established culture and Jingzhou’s tourism brand. Besides, all participators of Jingzhou’s exhibition gain a good harvest.

Based on its unique resource advantages such as Chu culture, the Three Kingdoms culture, water culture, and red culture, Jingzhou takes its first step of cultural tourism development featuring the integration of culture and tourism this year. Thanks to the opening of Jingzhou Garden Expo Park and Fantawild Oriental Heritage as well as the completion of a bunch of major transportation supporting projects such as the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway connecting King Chu's Mausoleum and the construction of Wuwang Avenue and Fenghuang Avenue, people across the country, even the world, flocked to Jingzhou during Mid-Autumn Festival vacation and National Day holiday, pushing the tourism industry in Jingzhou to soar. On top of that, this Expo enabled Jingzhou to garner more attention, thus helping the cultural tourism in Jingzhou achieve high-quality development.

Liu Zongbiao, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Jingzhou Culture and Tourism Bureau, said that Jingzhou will make further efforts to enhance the construction of tourism projects, strengthen the building of tourism brands, and improve the quality of tourism services. To make full use of this Expo, Jingzhou will make the connection of cities along the Yangtze River stronger and jointly promote the development of tourism in the region, thus attracting more tourists to visit Jingzhou, enjoy Jingzhou Ancient City, Fantawild Oriental Heritage and Garden Expo Park.
